We provide quality resources in four specialty areas: Information Technology (IT), Clinical Research, Rehabilitation Therapy and Nursing.Job DescriptionDuration: 6 months+The Application Scientist position is part of a North American team of marketing support professionals supporting company's Bio Monitoring sales group within the Lab Solutions Business Unit. The Bio Monitoring group is focused on supporting the microbiology needs of the Food, Beverage, and Pharmaceutical Industries.Job Responsibilities:Perform Feasibility Study on customer samples in house and equipment evaluation at customer site for pre-sale support of different microbiology testing equipmentPerform in house Testing Method Development on customer products for microorganism detectionSample testing data analysis and troubleshootingExecute IQ/OQ validation protocols for Rapid microbiological testing equipment at customer's sites used in the testing of pharmaceutical products or processes: install and prepare equipment and supplies, perform testing, document test results, write reports and maintain recordsEnsure all systems are running according to necessary specifications and operate within regulations to ensure testing of quality productsTrain customers on performing equipment operation and sample testing (Sterility and Bioburden)Provide PQ consulting to assist customers with test method suitability executionGuiding customers on regulatory requirements for sample testing and industry standardsAbility to troubleshoot equipment on-site if neededCoordinate with customers and various internal functions to complete services on a timely manner (customer and technical service, sales and marketing)Partner with the sales team to support the sales process, development of opportunitiesPrepares weekly and monthly reports, plans and manages workload and budgetAssist in development of testing protocolsQualificationsRequires Minimum Bachelor's degree (or Masters) in Microbiology or related field plus 3-5+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP regulations and documentation requirements is essentialAbility to develop and execute Feasibility Studies, Method Development and IQ/OQ validation protocols.
