Microbiology Scientist

Our client, a leading healthcare and medical device company, is seeking a Microbiology Scientist to join their team. As a Microbiology Scientist, you will be part of the Microbiology Laboratory Department supporting quality and development teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Scientist 1, Microbiology Development
Location: El Paso, TX
Pay Range: $27/hour

What’s the Job?

• Perform microbiological testing on pharmaceutical products, raw materials, and medical devices
• Execute sterility, microbial limits, and bioburden testing following USP and ASTM methods
• Prepare microbiological media, reagents, and maintain cultures
• Support lab operations including inventory, labeling, and organization
• Document and present experimental data in compliance with GDP standards

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related field
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience
• Experience with microbiological testing methods (sterility, USP, ASTM)
• Strong documentation skills and knowledge of Good Documentation Practices
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate in a team environment
