A leading healthcare organization in Missouri is seeking an experienced Microbiology Section Lead to join its laboratory team.

Position Highlights

• Full-time opportunity
• 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM schedule
• Leadership opportunity within the Microbiology section
• Work in a hospital-based clinical laboratory
• Oversee daily operations within the Microbiology department
• Perform and oversee microbiology testing and analysis
• Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality patient test results
• Assist with quality control, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance
• Support laboratory staff and help maintain efficient department operations
• Collaborate with other laboratory sections and healthcare professionals
• Opportunity to take on a leadership role while remaining involved in the technical side of the laboratory

What We're Looking For

• MLS or MT certification through ASCP required
• Previous Microbiology laboratory experience required
• Previous laboratory leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of microbiology testing, instrumentation, and laboratory procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems effectively
• Strong understanding of quality control and regulatory requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accurate patient results
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
