    Designation : Microelectronic Technician 1

    Location : Manhattan Beach, CA (Onsite)

    About the Role

    Join a leading aerospace and defense organization supporting cutting-edge semiconductor fabrication operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic Production and R&D environment, maintaining advanced semiconductor equipment used in next-generation technologies.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor fabrication equipment

    Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, vacuum, pneumatic, and basic control systems

    Support equipment such as:

    Steppers, Etchers, Sputters, Evaporators

    Implanters, Coaters/Developers, Dicing Saws

    Partner with engineers, researchers, and tool owners to resolve equipment issues

    Log maintenance activities, downtime, and parts usage in tracking systems

    Assist with tool installation, upgrades, and decommissioning

    Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables

    Follow cleanroom protocols and safety standards

    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime and efficiency

    Basic Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED

    2+ years of equipment maintenance or technical trade experience

    Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

    Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings

    Familiarity with:

    Vacuum systems

    Gas systems

    Cleanroom environments

    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced R&D/production setting

    U.S. Citizenship required

    Preferred Qualifications

    Associate degree or technical certification in:

    Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field

    Experience with semiconductor fabrication equipment (wet & dry processes)

    Exposure to low-volume, high-mix production or R&D environments

    Understanding of front-end and back-end semiconductor processes

    Knowledge of safety protocols (chemicals, gases, high voltage systems)
