Microelectronics Quality Control Inspector — Dimensional & GD&T

Your Impact

  • Guard product integrity by verifying angles, radii, contours, thread leads, and other critical features.
  • Establish precise reference points/centerlines and position workpieces for repeatable inspection results.
  • Validate fit, motion, and mechanical function across parts and assemblies.
  • Execute hardness and surface roughness checks per specification.
  • Conduct first-article inspections to confirm processes before full production.
  • Apply ultrasonic and fluorescent methods to detect subsurface or internal discontinuities.
  • Calibrate, adjust, and verify gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Analyze defects for root cause, recommend corrective actions, and assess salvage options.
  • Create enlarged detail views for optical comparator programs and maintain thorough reports.
  • Perform minor PM on inspection assets and sustain an orderly, safe workspace—including time in a cleanroom.

What You’ll Need

  • Technical school certificate or one year of related education/training.
  • 3–6 months of inspection, testing, or manufacturing experience (or equivalent).
  • Strong procedural discipline and attention to detail.
  • Comfort with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specs, and GD&T.
  • Solid communication and clear documentation skills.
  • Readiness to work near moving machinery, chemicals, and moderate noise.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing/walking.

Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting; precise hand use.
  • Occasional reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching.
  • Exposure to moving parts, airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Moderate noise conditions.
  • Close vision with adjustable focus required.
