Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power BI & Fabric Administrator to manage, govern, secure, and optimize enterprise Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI/Fabric administration, capacity management, workspace governance, security, monitoring, automation, performance tuning, and platform operations.

The role will support Fabric workloads including Power BI, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Engineering, and Real-Time Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI & Fabric Administration

• Administer and manage Microsoft Fabric capacities and workspaces.
• Configure Fabric tenant settings, policies, security controls, and governance standards.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, users, permissions, roles, gateways, and data sources.
• Support BI content migration across development, testing, and production environments.
• Manage platform upgrades, patching, feature enablement, and lifecycle activities.

Governance & Security

• Define and enforce enterprise governance standards for Power BI and Fabric.
• Implement data security, RLS, authorization, IAM, and access-control frameworks.
• Establish workspace taxonomy, naming standards, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and audit platform usage and user activity.

Capacity & Performance Management

• Manage Fabric capacity utilization and resource allocation.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and workload optimization.
• Monitor platform health and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Optimize Power BI/Fabric licensing and infrastructure costs.

Automation & Integration

• Use Power BI/Fabric REST APIs to automate administration and management activities.
• Develop automation for user provisioning, workspace management, monitoring, and reporting.
• Partner with Data Architecture and Cloud teams to establish enterprise integration patterns.

Operations & Reliability

• Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Manage platform monitoring, auditing, incident resolution, and operational support.
• Design and implement cloud security principles covering data protection, IAM, compliance, threat detection, and business continuity.

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor cloud visualization platform infrastructure SMEs.
• Provide technical direction and establish Power BI/Fabric administration best practices.
• Work closely with architecture, data, cloud, security, and business teams.
• Communicate technical solutions and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Power BI/Fabric infrastructure, architecture, administration, and operations.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Experience managing Fabric capacities, workspaces, tenant settings, gateways, and data sources.
• Strong understanding of Power BI security, governance, RLS, and authorization.
• Experience with platform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, performance tuning, and license optimization.
• Experience with REST APIs and automation.
• Knowledge of Azure/AWS database platforms and SQL.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, disaster recovery, and high availability.
• Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills

• 10 12 years of overall infrastructure/architecture/operations experience.
• 6 8 years of cloud infrastructure, architecture, and operations experience.
• Azure/AWS administration, networking, and security certifications.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale BI platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and team leadership experience.
• Experience with Power BI/Fabric platform financial and license management.
