This position will build and manage our best-in-class database platform for our quantitative investment applications and will also develop other applications. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the SQL Server database, designing and developing applications, performing data analysis, and making design recommendations and changes. The DBA will work closely with the Technology team. The successful candidate must have SQL Server DBA experience as well as experience in SQL development, ability to understand requirements, and knowledge of financial equity data (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters). MS degree in Computer Science or related field required.

We are seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to build and manage a best-in-class database platform for our quantitative investment applications. The candidate will be a database developer and also participate in other application development efforts.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing database Disaster Recovery and High Availability for quantitative financial data, portfolio management, and trading databases • Installing and upgrading the SQL Server database instances in all environments including but not limited to development, QA, and Production • Designing and developing quantitative investment applications, system interfaces, databases, and reporting as required to deliver new systems functionality • Performing data analysis, SQL optimization, database tuning, and general database reliability analysis • Proactively monitoring the database systems to ensure secure operations with minimum downtime • Collaborating with the development team throughout the system lifecycle, providing guidance on table design, database index optimization, and SQL query best practices • Implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team • Applying security patches in accordance with approved maintenance schedules • Overseeing data processing workflows and ensure proper monitoring

Requirements include:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field • Proven 5+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience • 5+ years of SQL development experience including package/procedure/trigger/scripting development in a multi-user production environment • Ability to understand requirements and create tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and also support SQL deployment to multiple environments • Experience with SQL Server High Availability configurations and disaster recovery • Experience in C or C++ a big plus • Familiarity with equity market data (S&P Global, Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv, FactSet, etc.) is a strong plus

When determining the actual base salary offered to successful candidates, various factors will be considered, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as level of education attained, certifications, and other professional licenses held. The expected base salary for this position is $150,000-$200,000. In addition to base salary, benefits include discretionary bonus plans, health, dental and other wellness plans, contributions to profit-sharing and 401(k) plan, paid time off, and more.
