Night MICU Registered Nurse – Columbus, Ohio

What You’ll Do
  • Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the MICU
  • Monitor and manage ventilators, IV starts, and complex medications
  • Perform procedures such as arterial pressure monitoring, central venous access, and usage of pulmonary artery catheters
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver top-quality patient care
  • Document patient progress and interventions accurately using EPIC electronic charting
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, including emergencies like ARDS, sepsis, and gastrointestinal bleeds
  • Support patients with complex diagnoses such as oncologic emergencies, COPD, and autoimmune disorders

What You Need
  • Valid Ohio RN license
  • At least 2 years ICU/MICU experience
  • Proficiency with vents, IV starts, and computerized charting (EPIC preferred)
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
  • Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills

This MICU unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with critical conditions such as ARDS, sepsis, and complex chronic illnesses. The team uses advanced procedures like mechanical ventilation, CRRT, and pulmonary procedures, with a focus on high-quality, compassionate care.
