About the Role We're launching a new line of commercial-grade air purification systems and looking for a driven Business Development Representative to help build our go-to-market presence from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new team at the earliest stage - shaping outbound strategy, refining messaging, and closing the first wave of commercial accounts for a product category with growing demand across healthcare, education, hospitality, offices, and industrial spaces.
This role is fully remote, with regular travel expected for client meetings, trade shows, and site visits to demonstrate product performance in real-world commercial environments.
What You'll Do
Identify, prospect, and qualify new commercial accounts (facilities managers, procurement teams, building owners, healthcare administrators, hospitality groups, etc.)
Build and manage a pipeline of outbound leads through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and trade events
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, both virtually and on-site
Educate prospective clients on air quality standards, ROI, and compliance benefits relevant to their industry
Collaborate closely with sales leadership, marketing, and product teams to refine positioning as the product launches and scales
Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and in-person client visits (estimated 30-40% travel)
Negotiate initial deal terms and hand off qualified opportunities to account executives or close deals directly, depending on deal size
Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in the CRM
Provide market feedback to help shape future product features and go-to-market strategy
What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in HVAC, industrial equipment, facilities solutions, or a related commercial product category
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where processes are still being built
Strong cold outreach and prospecting skills - comfortable picking up the phone and starting conversations
Excellent presentation and communication skills; confident presenting to facilities managers, procurement leads, and executives
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting while staying aligned with a distributed team
Willingness and ability to travel regularly for client meetings and industry events
Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
Bonus: existing relationships or experience selling into healthcare, education, hospitality, or commercial real estate
What We Offer
Competitive base salary + uncapped commission structure
Ground-floor opportunity to shape a new product line and sales team
