Responsibilities:
- Inspect Transportation Construction Projects
- Ensure all work and materials meet project plans, proposals, and specifications
- Perform Key Measurements & Calculations
- Verify weights, volumes, and measurements to ensure accuracy
- Conduct Materials Testing & Sampling
- Ensure materials meet quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Daily Documentation
- Record all inspection activities and findings in detailed reports
- Work Outdoors
- Enjoy the variety of working in different weather conditions and environments
- Physical Responsibilities
- Be prepared for heavy lifting and manual tasks as part of the inspection process
- Independent Work
- Take ownership of your tasks and work with minimal supervision
- Flexible Hours & Travel
- Expect extended hours and occasional overnight stays as part of the role
A valid drivers license is required.
Requirements:
- The successful candidate will hold at least two applicable certifications and one of the following:
- A Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or related field
- An Associates Degree in Construction Management or related field and two years of relevant experience
- If no degree, at least four years of relevant experience
- The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- SCDOT Certifications
- CEPSCI
