Mid-level, Full-stack Software Developer

Job Summary

The Mid-level Full Stack Software Developer will design, develop, test, and deploy responsive web-based business applications. The role requires experience across both front-end and back-end development, including React, ASP.NET, C#, Node.js, relational databases, and cloud-based development environments.

The developer will collaborate with project managers, technical managers, analysts, testers, and other software engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable applications. The position also involves Agile development, CI/CD, performance optimization, code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

Full Stack Software Development

• Develop end-to-end features by building responsive user interfaces using React and secure back-end services using ASP.NET.
• Design and develop database layers using Entity Framework Core to interface efficiently with SQL Server.
• Build and deploy applications using automated CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Optimize application performance across the full technology stack, including front-end components and SQL queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug complex issues and address technical debt and production bottlenecks.
• Develop secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

Agile Development & Quality

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint demos, and retrospectives.
• Estimate story points and contribute to sprint planning.
• Conduct constructive code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Write automated tests using frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, Vitest, and React Testing Library.
• Use version control and project management tools throughout the development lifecycle.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver software projects successfully.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Lead feature initiatives independently when required.
• Manage competing priorities and multiple concurrent projects.
• Adapt quickly to existing and complex technical environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
• Alternatively, an active certification such as CSSLP, GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD), or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
• Five years of experience developing with ASP.NET, React, Node.js, and relational databases.
• SECRET-level security clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Experience with C#, JSX or Angular Templates, JavaScript, and T-SQL.
• Experience with .NET (C#), ASP.NET, JavaScript, Node.js, React, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Practical knowledge of software design patterns.
• Experience with project management and issue-tracking systems such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jira.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive multiple concurrent projects to successful completion.
• Strong understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.
• Ability to adapt quickly to complex environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• AWS, Azure, and/or SaaS-based development experience.
