Summary
Client is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to join a high-impact engineering team focused on improving financial transparency and outcomes for students. This role will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable applications and services across modern cloud-based architectures. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who thrives in ambiguous environments and actively leverages AI tools to improve productivity, development workflows, and engineering efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications and microservices supporting enterprise platforms.
- Build responsive front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Node.js, and Angular.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and scalable backend systems.
- Deploy and manage applications within AWS cloud environments including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and deliver high-quality software products.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to scalable microservices design patterns.
- Utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance coding efficiency, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Contribute to CI/CD practices, cloud infrastructure management, and engineering best practices.
- Support Agile development processes including sprint planning, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Experience developing full stack applications using React.js, Node.js, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
- Active use of AI tools within daily software engineering workflows.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments with ambiguous requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM platforms.
- Experience with BPM tools such as Flowable.
- Exposure to higher education, fintech, or enterprise-scale service platforms preferred.
