    Responsibilities:

    Looking for a way to intersect your passions with purpose? Mead & Hunt has an exceptional opportunity for highly motivated experienced inspectors to conduct and document inspections of highway and bridge projects throughout South Carolina and North Carolina.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Leading data collection, quantity calculations, and inspections/testing related to soil density, concrete, asphalt, and earthwork
    • Heavy lifting
    • Working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis
    • Ability to perform work independently
    • Travel to construction sites throughout the state
    • A valid driver’s license is required.

     

    Extended hours and overnight stays may be required.

     

    Successful candidates will have the following:

    • Two relevant certifications

    AND one of the following:

    • A bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
    • An associate degree in construction management or related field plus at least two years of relevant experience
    • No degree plus at least four years of relevant experience

     

    Ideal candidates will have experience with any/all of the following:

    • NCDOT Certifications
    • ITS Experience
    • ICC Certifications
    • Leading inspectors performing highway materials sampling and testing
    • Oversight of interpretation of plans, drawings and specifications as relates to construction field tasks
    • Site Manager or other construction software
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
