Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join a nationally recognized litigation practice representing innovative technology and life sciences companies in high-stakes disputes. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, or consumer class actions and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle disputes involving:
  • Copyright
  • Trademark
  • Trade secrets
  • Consumer class actions
  • Complex commercial litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial preparation.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices on sophisticated, high-profile litigation matters.
• Develop strong client relationships while providing practical, business-focused legal advice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active admission (or eligibility for admission by waiver or the next bar examination) in the jurisdiction where the attorney will practice.
• 4–6 years of litigation experience.
• Experience handling one or more of the following:
  • Copyright litigation
  • Trademark litigation
  • Trade secret litigation
  • Consumer class actions
  • Complex commercial litigation
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience representing technology or life sciences companies.
• Experience managing significant portions of complex litigation matters.
• Strong project management and case management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters while maintaining exceptional client service.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary:$310,000–$390,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
