    Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level litigation associate with three to five years of experience to join its Litigation Practice Group in Portland, OR. The associate will engage with clients in the agriculture, renewable energy, timber, and mining sectors, providing regional litigation services and handling diverse cases.Duties Draft, research, and argue motions, including motions to dismiss and summary judgment.Take and defend fact and expert depositions; prepare witnesses for testimony.Lead discovery efforts, including ESI strategy and negotiations.Prepare pleadings, briefs, and written discovery; develop case strategy.Appear at hearings, conferences, mediations, and arbitrations.Oversee case calendars, budgets, and supervise junior associates and paralegals.Coordinate with subject-matter teams and interface with clients and opposing counsel.Requirements JD from an accredited law school.Admitted to the Oregon bar or eligible for prompt admission.3-5 years of general/commercial litigation experience at a comparable firm.Significant experience with motion practice, depositions, and complex discovery.Strong command of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence.Exceptional writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.Proficiency with e-discovery platforms and litigation technology.Education JD from an accredited law school.Certifications Admitted to the Oregon bar or eligible for prompt admission.Skills Strong client-service orientation and sound judgment.Meticulous attention to detail.Ability to drive workstreams effectively.Benefits Participation in training programs and retreats.Coaching and mentoring program.New lawyer integration program.Core competency model for long-term success.Commitment to well-being and supportive workplace culture.#J-18808-Ljbffr
