Mid-Level Network Administrator

i3 is seeking a Mid-Level Network Administrator. The successful candidate should have a thorough knowledge of network architecture, design, implementation, and support. The candidate must be capable of working in both a team environment on enterprise projects and be capable of working independently to resolve technical issues. Knowledge of Tactical networks and communication systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Secure, maintain, and deploy Windows images to support a small distributed DoD Closed Restricted Network.
• Secure, maintain, and deploy Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) images in support of Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning.
• Provide customer access control support and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure and maintain LAN and WAN system hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) using primarily Cisco hardware.
• Design, maintain, and document network solutions.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols.
• Secure networks by developing network access controls and policies that align with DISA STIGs.
• Ensure system security in compliance with Army and customer policies.
• Understand network security devices and their output.
• Ensure reliable backup and recovery from circuit and hardware outages.
• Provides network performance statistics, reports and recommendations for network enhancements.
• Apply firmware and software patches as required to hardware.
• Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience. 
• Certifications: CCNA or greater desired.
• Must have Security+, comparable certificate, or ability to achieve 8140 compliance within 60 days of hiring.
• Experience with Evaluate-STIG and ACAS scanning strongly desired.
• Cisco IOS installation, maintenance and STIG management as required for switching, routing and firewall environments at advance configuration and troubleshooting skill levels.
• Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Cisco DNA Center experience desirable.
• Active Secret clearance required
• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
