This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

The Role: On a typical day, but not limited to, the Supplier Quality Purchase Order Planner receives contracts or purchase orders in SAP from Supply Chain Management (SCM). These documents are reviewed for completeness, meets customer approval criteria, flow down of quality requirements and supplier is approved in Approved Supplier List (ASL). Communication with SCM on missing data, approval status and clarification required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that supplier is approved in the Approved Supplier List.
  • Ensure Customer Approval is complete for supplier.
  • Ensure Supplier is approved for commodity being purchased.
  • Partnering with Supply Chain Management on new part purchase orders, validation of commodity for supplier and any issues discovered in Contract or Purchase Order review.
  • Responsible for validating all quality related supplier requirements are flowed down in contract and purchase order.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Contract and Purchase Order Review and language

3+ years of experience with Quality/Manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong familiarity with SAP/MES
  • Strong ability to review engineering data and customer approval requirements language.
  • Strong ability to read drawings, procedures, First Article Inspections (FAI) and understand contracts.
  • Strong ability to work with other organizations to resolution

Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level 3): $77,250 - $118,450
