Job Summary

The role is responsible for managing both international and domestic shipping of seeds, equipment, and products to support breeding operations. It involves overseeing shipment preparation, including documentation, compliance, and tracking. Job Description
- Manage international and domestic shipments of seeds, equipment, and products
- Oversee preparation of shipment documentation (phytosanitary certificates, lab tests, inspection reports, import permits, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with internal and external import/export regulations
- Perform data entry into systems (FTS, Velocity, shipping tracking tools)
- Maintain and update shipment and seed inventory records
- Coordinate with agricultural departments, customs, and regulatory authorities
- Pack, label, and ship outgoing materials
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments
- Track shipments and provide regular status updates
- Handle all shipping-related paperwork and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare seed lists for labor teams and ensure proper packaging for international shipment
- Drop off completed shipments to shipping/receiving departments
- Resolve issues related to shipping documentation and customs clearance
Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
- Knowledge of import/export processes and global shipping regulations (preferred)
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Agriculture, or related field (preferred)
- Training or experience in shipping, logistics, or export documentation is an advantage
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background checks
- Work Shift: Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Understanding of global shipping lanes and regulatory requirements
- Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external agencies
- Willingness to handle both administrative and physical shipping tasks
- Capability to maintain accurate and organized records across multiple systems
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $17.00 to $25.00 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
