    Pay: $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

    Location

    Los Angeles, CA — Hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. You choose which days you work remotely, with no advance approval required.

    Note

    Must have an active California Bar license and 4+ years of directly relevant civil litigation experience in a law firm setting, including hands-on experience with motions, discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation. Candidates from in-house or solo practice backgrounds are generally not preferred.

    Job Description

    • Independently manage civil litigation matters from initiation through resolution in state and federal courts and arbitration.
    • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, correspondence, and other court filings.
    • Research complex legal issues and develop effective litigation strategies.
    • Argue motions and make court appearances on behalf of clients.
    • Take and defend depositions involving parties, witnesses, and experts.
    • Manage discovery strategy, responses, disputes, and related litigation deadlines.
    • Prepare cases for mediation, settlement, hearings, and trial.
    • Participate actively in trial preparation and, when appropriate, trial proceedings.
    • Develop trusted relationships with clients and provide clear, strategic legal guidance.
    • Collaborate with partners and other attorneys while taking substantial ownership of assigned matters.
    • Contribute to business development, networking, and professional visibility as your practice develops.

    Qualifications

    • J.D. from an accredited law school; Top 100 law school preferred.
    • Active California Bar license in good standing.
    • 4+ years of civil litigation experience in a law firm setting.
    • Demonstrated experience drafting and arguing motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and appearing in court.
    • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
    • Self-starter with sound judgment and a genuine interest in growing with a boutique litigation practice.
    • Law firm litigation experience strongly preferred over in-house or solo practice backgrounds.
