The Rockport Public School District serves approximately 650 PreK-12th grade students on a two-building campus located in the picturesque coastal community of Rockport, MA which is 40 miles northeast of Boston at the tip of Cape Ann. In partnership with families and the community, the Rockport Public Schools provide a safe environment that fosters integrity, respect, and success. The Assistant Principal supports the Principal in the discharge of their duties at all times and acts in the capacity of the Principal during the Principal's absence. The Assistant Principal is responsible for collaborating with the Principal and staff in fostering an inclusive culture that allows each member of our learning community to feel a sense of belonging that is grounded in social emotional safety, impactful relationships, and personalized growth. The Assistant Principal collaborates with and supports the Principal in working directly with students and staff to maximize their potential by serving as an instructional leader, supervising and evaluating staff, and providing oversight of daily operations of the school by employing effective and efficient student-centered practices. They implement policies and practices as developed and agreed upon by the School Committee and/or the District Leadership Team. The Assistant Principal provides leadership to the school community consistent with the District's mission, vision, and core values.
