Position Details
Charlevoix Public Schools is seeking an energetic secondary Science teacher that also has/had interest in Robotics who maintains a positive learning environment, holds high academic standards, and creates a student-centered classroom. Charlevoix Middle High School has students from grades 7th - 12th. Charlevoix Public Schools is open to candidates with all levels of teaching experience and educational degrees attained and has one of the top teacher salary scales in Michigan.
Qualifications:
- Secondary Science Certification.
- Must meet Highly Qualified requirements as defined by the Michigan Department of Education.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate student learning, growth, and achievement.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies, and school regulations.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Understanding of Multi-tiered Systems of Support.
- Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
- Ability to effectively demonstrate a whole-child approach to teaching.
- Other duties as assigned.
