Main Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily trading positions and Profit & Loss (PnL)
  • Perform daily pricing exposure reconciliations with trading and operations teams
  • Validate positions and PnL accurately and within reporting deadlines
  • Deliver daily position and PnL reporting to management
  • Maintain and improve data reliability within the in-house ETRM platform, including cost controls
  • Build and monitor forward curves within the ETRM environment, including front-to-back market assessment implementation
  • Verify the accuracy and consistency of forward curves against market values
  • Support and enhance daily operational processes, including market data validation, trade completeness, and regulatory reporting
  • Coordinate and reconcile intercompany transactions across global desks and offices
  • Reconcile futures trades between ETRM systems, exchanges, and clearing agents
  • Partner closely with operations, back-office, finance, credit, and trading teams
  • Monitor mark-to-market valuations for physical transactions entered into the ETRM system
  • Allocate hedging activity across trading strategies when required
  • Reconcile operational costs and invoices against ETRM records
  • Monitor exposure and VAR metrics and escalate limit breaches where appropriate
  • Support month-end reconciliation activities with accounting teams
  • Provide desk coverage and cross-functional support as needed
  • Collaborate with Front Office, IT, Operations, Finance, and Credit teams on process improvements and strategic initiatives
Profile
  • Experience within a middle office or commodity trading environment, particularly in energy markets or related trading functions
  • Exposure to trading systems and strong technical aptitude; SQL, programming, or systems knowledge is advantageous
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities and strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of commodity markets and trading operations
  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-moving trading environment
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Self-driven, proactive, and collaborative mindset
  • University degree preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States
