We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated 8th grade teacher with a subject emphasis in English language arts. We strive to hire individuals who are determined to see all students succeed, cognizant of their mindset, champions of equity, and are results-oriented. Our Ideal Candidate:
Holds, or is eligible to obtain, a current Wisconsin Teaching License in general education. Additional license, experience or training in ELA is preferred.
Passionate and engaging educator.
Demonstrates ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners by setting learning expectations at students' readiness levels.
Experience working with middle school students.
Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Collaborative and exceptional solutions-oriented mindsets.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.
Demonstrates good communication skills, including ability to guide and supervise groups of students, maintain confidentiality, and work with students in a positive and motivational manner.
Demonstrates proficient office skills with computers and software.
Able to interact with others effectively, follow directions and initiate activities independently.
Enjoy working with students and other staff members.
Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion
Bilingual (Spanish) skills and abilities are a plus.
