JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Assistant Principal WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Campus Principal DAYS EMPLOYED: 212

DEPT/SCHOOL: Middle School Campus

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Associate Principal will assist the principal in managing the educational and administrative functions of the school. This role includes providing leadership in developing and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services, fostering a positive school culture, ensuring the safety and welfare of students and staff, and promoting the academic and social development of all students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • Master's degree in Educational Administration
  • Mid-Management or Principal certification
  • Certified T-TESS Appraiser

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
  • Administrative experience required

Experience:

  • A Minimum of Three years classroom teaching
  • A Minimum of Two years assistant principal experience or equivalent
