John Long Middle School is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and collaborative leader to join our administrative team as an Associate Principal. Operating under our district philosophy of Every Student, Every Day, this vital role works in close partnership with, and under the supervision of, the School Principal. The Associate Principal serves as a visible champion for a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment, ensuring that the needs of our middle school students are met with an unwavering growth mindset.

Central to this leadership position is the management of school climate, student culture, and instructional excellence through active staff supervision. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to promote character development while closing behavioral and social-emotional gaps. Beyond analyzing attendance trends and managing daily student discipline, the Associate Principal will directly supervise and evaluate faculty, providing teachers with actionable coaching to deliver high-quality, universal instruction.

The ideal candidate will hold, or be eligible for, a valid Wisconsin Administrative License and possess exceptional communication skills to effectively navigate sensitive family dynamics, manage daily operational procedures, and supervise student life.
