Freedom Middle School is seeking a dynamic and student-focused middle school counselor to join our team. Freedom Middle School currently consists of grades 6-8 and has approximately 350 students. We are excited to be adding 5th grade to our school in the 2027-2028 school year followoing completion of a $62.5 million renovation of our combined middle and high school.
The school counselor at FMS engages daily with teachers, students, and support staff to build and maintain a healthy school climate and positive social-emotional environment in our school. Primary job expectations include but are not limited to: individual counseling with students, push-in lessons in each grade level, ACP planning and implementation, assisting the principal and middle school secretary with building the master schedule, facilitating our Sources of Strength program, assisting with and facilitating 504 and behavior intervention meetings/plans, connecting students and families with community resources, and much more!
