Middle School English Language Arts Teacher

GRACE - St. Bernard Catholic School in Green Bay, WI is looking for a full time Middle School ELA teacher for the 26-27 school year. GRACE is looking for passionate educators and this teaching position is responsible for fostering a safe, welcoming, positive learning environment for all students and co-workers and providing lessons that meet or exceed state, local, and school standards.

Instruction

• Prepares daily lesson plans in all subject areas
• Prepares instructional activities allowing for individual differences among students in the classroom
• Integrates cross-curriculum instruction when possible
• Integrates technology into daily lesson plans
• Provides a safe, comfortable, productive learning environment that encourages and challenges students spiritually, academically, physically, and socially

Supervising

• Supervises all students, to foster a safe environment

Professional

• Participates in activities that promote professional growth and development
• Maintains current certifications and licensures
• Reads and agrees to follow policies and procedures as defined in the handbook

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Current Wisconsin Teaching License or actively working towards licensure
• Submission to a legal background check
• Excels in communication
• Proficient in MS suite and quick to learn new programs
• Ability to self-motivate
• Ability to work in a busy environment
• Practicing Catholic

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, and frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk. The employee will use the hands to feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 40 pounds. Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
