Middle School Football and Basketball Cheer Coach:
Bueker Middle School is looking for a dedicated, motivated, and student-centered Middle School Football and Basketball Cheer Coach to lead and grow our middle school cheer program. The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in developing a competitive program that emphasizes character, academic achievement, teamwork, and sportsmanship while creating a positive and inclusive experience for all student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the school program
- Develop practice plans and game strategies aligned with program goals
- Teach and reinforce fundamental skills, discipline, and sportsmanship
- Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and academic success
- Supervise and mentor assistant coaches if applicable
- Ensure compliance with school district, state athletic association, and league rules
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, administrators, and staff
- Promote player safety, including proper conditioning and injury prevention
- Support off-season training, player development, and program growth
- Represent the school positively within the community
Preferred Attributes
- Teaching certification or ability to teach within the district (if applicable)
- Experience building or sustaining a competitive program
- Positive role model who emphasizes character and integrity
