The School District of Shiocton is developing a pool of candidates for a Middle School/High School Technical Education Teacher beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This position is a 1.0 FTE and will serve students in 7th through 12th grade. Classes taught include 7th and 8th grade Technical Education, Automotive/Transportation, Woods related coursework, and other Technical Education electives.
The School District of Shiocton is a rural district in a small, close knit community. Teachers collaborate frequently to meet the needs of our students and families. Shiocton has a great student body, and has a welcoming environment conducive to learning. We enjoy a small pupil to teacher ratio that aids in our students' achievement.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a drive to work with middle and high school students, and a proven background in all areas of Technical Education. Successful candidates will also have experience in teaching woodworking, and automotive maintenance/repair. Experience teaching CAD is preferred but not required. The candidate must be able to demonstrate solid written expressions skills and a genuine interest to incorporate reading and writing into these various disciplinaries.
Candidates should hold, or be eligible for, WI DPI teaching license #1220 - Technology Education. Candidates interested in a career change who have education and experience in the field are encouraged to apply.
