Job Goal:
Assist the classroom teacher in the academic needs of students
Performance Responsibilities:
Overall responsibilities
Assists the classroom teacher in review and reinforcement activities.
Assists the students in maintaining positive behavior and on-task attention.
Assist the classroom teacher in fulfilling his/her instructional obligations to certain individuals or groups.
Assists the teacher in utilizing audio-visual and technological equipment.
Monitors the class while the teacher is in conference in the classroom or working with a group in the classroom.
Assists the teacher in preparation of curriculum, special projects, bulletin boards, and programs.
Assists in the supervision of lunchroom and playground as necessary.
Assists students with organizational skills.
Performs other related duties and activities as assigned, consistent with position of instructional aide
and consistent with the duties of a school aide.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time at an office desk.
Speak and hear.

Use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception along with the ability to focus vision.
Heavy computer utilization with ability to observe a computer monitor for hours of the day is required.
Minor standing time for copier utilization from time to time.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. to move office boxes when necessary.
Employment Conditions:
Contract Term: September 1ST to June 30th, 10-month; 9 holidays not to exceed 29.5 hours per week
Salary: WDEA agreement
Terms and Conditions: WDEA agreement and Board policy
