Position Overview:
HHAI is seeking a dynamic and creative educator to teach an integrated Math and Science program for our combined 6th and 7th grade class. This role blends core math instruction with inquiry-based science and STEM learning, emphasizing real-world problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.
With a small group of students, this is an opportunity to design a highly personalized, differentiated program that meets students where they are and helps them grow.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach middle school Math and Science through an integrated STEM approach
- Design and implement engaging, hands-on, project-based learning experiences
- Differentiate instruction to support a range of learners within a combined 6th-7th grade classroom
- Use data to inform instruction and support student growth
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and collaboration
- Incorporate technology, engineering, and design thinking into lessons (Innovation Lab, STEM projects, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Humanities teacher to support interdisciplinary connections
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, faculty meetings, and community events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required (Education, Math, Science, or related field)
- Teaching experience in middle school preferred
- Strong understanding of math instruction and foundational science concepts
- Passion for STEM education and hands-on learning
- Ability to work in a small, collaborative school environment
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Openness to feedback, growth, and innovation
