Middle School Math and Science Position

The Ontonagon Area School District has an opening for a middle school math and science teacher starting in the 2026- 2027 school year. This position requires someone with math skills. We are looking for someone who is willing to obtain AVMR (Advantage Math Recovery) training, is comfortable utilizing data to inform instruction, comfortable with small group instruction, is open minded to try new things and works well as part of a team. Our team is a group of individuals with an encouraging personality, willingness to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, and has the ability to be creative and flexible. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Math and Science Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE (Michigan Department of Education); Or the ability to obtain an emergency license while working to obtain full licensure.
  • AVMR training or willingness to obtain
