Summary
Beagle Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and promotes a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. This full-time position requires a commitment to student success, collaboration with colleagues, and active participation in the school community.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, and projects, and provide constructive feedback.
Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and fosters a love for mathematics.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advances in mathematics education.
Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular activities, including math clubs or competitions.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other pertinent information.
Uphold school policies and procedures while promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school education.
Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred.
Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and pedagogical strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs of students.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
