Summary

Beagle Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and promotes a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. This full-time position requires a commitment to student success, collaboration with colleagues, and active participation in the school community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.

  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, and projects, and provide constructive feedback.

  • Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and fosters a love for mathematics.

  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advances in mathematics education.

  • Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular activities, including math clubs or competitions.

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other pertinent information.

  • Uphold school policies and procedures while promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.

  • Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school education.

  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and pedagogical strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs of students.
