Grimmer Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
Licensure: Valid Indiana Teaching License
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum goals.
Teach mathematical concepts to students in grades 6-8, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, and statistics.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Assess and evaluate student progress through regular quizzes, tests, and assignments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
Create and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular lessons and participate in professional development opportunities.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive learning community.
Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required.
Stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.
Desired Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
Previous experience teaching middle school students preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
