Summary
We are seeking a faithful, reliable, and passionate full-time Religion teacher to join our school community. This position will teach middle school Religion classes and support students in growing both academically and spiritually in their understanding of the Catholic faith. The teacher will work collaboratively with school and church leadership to follow the established Religion curriculum and pacing to ensure consistency and strong instruction for all students.
Candidates must be a professed and practicing Roman Catholic who is committed to living out and modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church. Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Teacher Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with the schools Religion curriculum and learning goals.
- Use a variety of effective instructional strategies to support student engagement and understanding.
- Support the Catholic mission of the school by modeling faith, respect, and service in daily interactions.
- Work closely with church leadership to provide grade-level retreats and additional faith opportunities throughout the school year.
- Provide additional guidance and support between the school and church through student sacramental preparation throughout many grade levels.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by school administration.
Qualifications
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Indiana Teaching License.
- A Bachelors or Masters in Theology or related field is preferred.
