Opening for 2026/2027 School Year - Middle School Science Teacher
Position Overview:
New Castle Middle School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging middle school students in scientific inquiry and exploration, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and academically challenging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned to state and district science standards, with a focus on life, earth, and physical sciences.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Create a positive, respectful classroom culture that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments; use data to inform instruction and provide targeted support.
- Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to develop interdisciplinary projects and align curriculum.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and staff meetings.
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Uphold school policies and support the overall mission and goals of New Castle Middle School.
Requirements:
Individuals must be properly licensed and meet Highly Qualified guidelines
Certification: Grade Level 5-12 Science Content
