    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative Science Teacher to fulfill a vacancy in the district. Position Type: Instructional/Middle School Science

    Location: White Lake Middle School

    Salary: Per HVEA contract

    Reports To: Principal

    Status: 2026-27

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
    • Science endorsement (DI)
    • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    The Science teacher responsibilities include teaching written and oral course work, tailoring lesson plans to individual students or classes, and setting homework and assessments. Effective communication with staff, families, and students.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree

    LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
