Title:  Middle School Small Group Resource Teacher
Location: Dubois Integrity Academy

Job Type: Full-Time

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Middle School Small Group Resource Teacher provides targeted academic instruction and intervention to students who require additional support in core subject areas. This role focuses on delivering individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborating with general education teachers to support student success in the least restrictive environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide small group and individualized instruction in reading, writing, and/or mathematics
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
  • Use data-driven strategies to assess student progress and adjust instruction
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to align instruction and support inclusion
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and compliance requirements
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) or Response to Intervention (RTI)
  • Familiarity with evidence-based literacy and math intervention programs
