Middle School Volleyball Coach

Eastern Greene Middle School is seeking a motivated and dependable Middle School Volleyball Coach. The selected candidate may serve as either the 7th Grade Head Coach or a 7th/8th Grade Assistant Coach, depending on program needs and the applicant's experience.

The coach will work collaboratively with the middle school volleyball staff to develop student-athletes, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and build a program that represents Eastern Greene with pride both on and off the court.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and strategy preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and mentor middle school student-athletes
• Ability to build positive relationships with athletes, families, and staff
• Commitment to modeling appropriate behavior and sportsmanship

• Support the development of student-athletes within the Eastern Greene volleyball program
• Promote teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and personal growth
• Create a positive and engaging athletic environment
• Encourage student participation and excitement around the volleyball program
• Represent Eastern Greene Middle School with professionalism and pride

Expectations

• Help oversee all aspects of the volleyball team assigned
• Assist with planning and conducting organized, safe, and productive practices
• Communicate expectations, schedules, and events with players and parents
• Highlight the Thunderbird Volleyball Program and its student-athletes
• Utilize the corporation's approved technology to communicate program information
• Model appropriate behavior and leadership
• Recruit and encourage students to participate in the program
• Work collaboratively with other coaches and the Athletic Director
• Demonstrate reliability and preparedness for practices, competitions, meetings, and assigned responsibilities
• Develop a team that the Eastern Greene community will be proud of both on and off the court
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
