Middle School Volleyball Coach

Quincy Community Schools is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Middle School Volleyball Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both athletically and academically while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and character.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and conduct practices, games, and team activities
• Teach fundamental volleyball skills and strategies appropriate for middle school athletes
• Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive character development
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff, and administration
• Follow all district, conference, and state athletic guidelines and policies
• Supervise athletes during practices, games, and travel

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching and/or playing experience in volleyball preferred
• Knowledge of fundamental volleyball skills, rules, and techniques
• Ability to work with middle school-aged students in a positive and instructional manner
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all district and state requirements for coaching positions
