Middleware System Admin/DevOps Engineer

IDR is seeking a Middleware System Admin/DevOps Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Des Moines, IA.

Position Overview for the Middleware System Admin/DevOps Engineer:

• Manage and support enterprise middleware platforms, primarily built on JBoss EAP, across multiple environments.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot high-availability clustering and failover solutions.
• Automate deployment pipelines and integrate middleware with Azure DevOps CI/CD workflows.
• Implement proactive monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning to ensure platform stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize middleware operations, documentation, and best practices.

Requirements for the Middleware System Admin/DevOps Engineer:

• Strong experience with JBoss EAP 7/8.x administration in standalone and domain modes.
• Proven expertise in Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and artifact management.
• Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting mod_jk and mod_cluster integrations.
• Knowledge of environment provisioning, deployment automation, and release management.
• Ability to develop scripting solutions for operational automation and system health checks.
