Midlevel Commercial Litigation Associate

Ana Bird Legal Search is partnering with a nationally respected law firm seeking a Midlevel Commercial Litigation Associate with at least three years of substantive litigation experience for its Los Angeles office.

This opportunity offers sophisticated commercial litigation work, meaningful responsibility on complex disputes, and collaboration with experienced attorneys and major business clients. The position follows a hybrid schedule with approximately three office days per week.

Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, substantive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Manage discovery, including written discovery, document review, and depositions.
• Assist with dispositive motions, preliminary injunctions, and complex litigation briefing.
• Participate in hearings, motion arguments, and other litigation proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and litigation teams throughout all phases of a matter.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of substantive commercial litigation experience.
• Experience managing complex litigation matters and drafting contested motions.
• Strong legal research, persuasive writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with depositions, discovery, and litigation strategy.
• Sound professional judgment, initiative, and strong client service skills.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and California Bar membership or pending admission.
