PATIENT INFORMATION- Patient Demographics: Adults (Mothers), Neonates
- Patient Volume/Census: Approx. 11 deliveries per week
- Case Mix: OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum
FACILITY INFORMATION- EMR System: Epic
- Specialty Backup Available: OB/GYN (in-house 24/7), Pediatric Hospitalist
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES- First Assist (OB/Surgical)
- Intrapartum Care & Vaginal Delivery
- Postpartum Care
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
- Obstetric Ultrasound
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Licenses: Active RN and APRN license in TX
- Board: Active certification with AMCB
- Certifications: BLS, NRP
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience managing intrapartum and postpartum care preferred
- Other Qualifications: Shared decision making, holistic care approach, strong communication skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide comprehensive prenatal care, monitor fetal health, and manage labor progress.
- Support natural childbirth techniques and manage pain relief options including epidurals.
- Perform deliveries, provide first assist in surgical procedures, and manage medical interventions.
- Deliver postpartum and newborn care, including recovery assessment and lactation support.
- Collaborate with in-house OB/GYN, CNM team, and Pediatric Hospitalist for optimal patient outcomes.
