Southern Regional Hospital is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our Women’s Health and Labor & Delivery team as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This opportunity offers schedule flexibility while providing comprehensive, evidence-based obstetrical and gynecologic care in a collaborative hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care.
• Independently manage low-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
• Conduct routine gynecologic examinations and women’s health visits.
• Perform labor management, spontaneous vaginal deliveries, and postpartum care.
• Identify high-risk pregnancies and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians for consultation or transfer of care.
• Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, contraception, and preventive health.
• Accurately document all patient encounters within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.

Qualifications:

 

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery.
• Current certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license (state applicable).
• DEA registration (if required).
• BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
• Minimum one year of CNM experience preferred; exceptional new graduates are encouraged to apply.
