Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking skilled MIG / Flux Core Welders to join a growing manufacturing team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds on metal components and assemblies while maintaining strict quality, safety, and production standards.
This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to become a long-term temp-to-hire position for candidates who demonstrate exceptional workmanship, attendance, and reliability.
Required Experience & Skills
Ability to successfully pass a 4G MIG & Flux Core Weld Test
Previous welding experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Commitment to workplace safety and production standards
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform 4G MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on metal components and fabricated assemblies
Read and interpret blueprints, welding specifications, and production drawings
Set up and safely operate welding equipment according to production requirements
Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications
Utilize grinders, hand tools, and fabrication equipment to prepare and finish welded components
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety policies, welding procedures, and quality requirements
Meet daily production goals while maintaining consistent workmanship and accuracy
Perform additional welding and fabrication duties as assigned
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
4G MIG Weld Test
4G Flux Core Weld Test
Preferred Qualifications
Previous structural or production welding experience
Experience working in industrial manufacturing or fabrication environments
Familiarity with fabrication equipment and welding inspection standards
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to safely work around welding equipment, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in a manufacturing and fabrication environment
Work Environment
Heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
Exposure to welding equipment, fabrication machinery, heat, sparks, industrial noise, and heavy materials
Fast-paced production environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity
