Hours: Monday-Thursday 6 am to 4:30 pm. Work Fridays as needed for overtime.
Position Summary
The MIG/Stick Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. This position requires proficiency in MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding processes, safe operation of welding equipment, and the ability to produce high-quality welds while maintaining productivity and workplace safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
Set up and operate welding machines and related fabrication equipment.
Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting components prior to welding.
Inspect welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications.
Repair defective welds using appropriate welding techniques.
Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, cutting torches, and measuring instruments.
Perform layout, fitting, and assembly of fabricated parts.
Maintain proper welding parameters and machine settings.
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment.
Follow OSHA safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
2+ years of MIG and Stick welding experience preferred.
Welding certification preferred but not required.
Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
Experience with fabrication, fitting, and metal assembly.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
Stand, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
Ability to work in hot, noisy, and industrial manufacturing environments.
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination required.
Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and protective clothing.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS welding certification.
Experience with flux-core welding (FCAW) or TIG (GTAW) welding.
Forklift and overhead crane experience.
Experience in structural steel, heavy equipment, or industrial fabrication.
