About the company: Our client is a leader in custom precision Sheetmetal manufacturing on the East Coast.
Job Description: The MIG/TIG Welder will Fit and Weld sheet metal parts to the specifications of each job gathered from work orders, customer drawings, etc.. and ensure they meet the outlined requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using MIG and TIG processes
- Examining work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with calipers, straightedges, templates, etc., to ensure conformance with specifications;
- Welding separately or in combination, using steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys; Using clamps to fit work pieces together accurately;
- Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding;
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance

- Be able to read basic blueprints with knowledge of welding symbols
- 3+ years of MIG/TIG welding light gauge sheet metal (18G-22G) in a production environment
- Be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
