MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator 1st Shift
Location: Central City, NE
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour (DOE)
Shift: 1st Shift

Are you an experienced welder who takes pride in quality craftsmanship? We're looking for a MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator to join a growing team in Central City, NE. In this hands-on role, you'll fabricate, fit, weld and assemble structural steel, piping systems, pressure vessels, process skids and other custom metal components while working from engineering drawings and customer specifications.

What You'll Do

  • Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Flux Core (FCAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding

  • Fabricate, fit and weld metal assemblies according to blueprints and specifications

  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols and fabrication drawings

  • Prepare materials using oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment

  • Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, drills, saws and other shop tools

  • Verify measurements and maintain quality standards throughout production

  • Assist with assembly, testing and finishing of fabricated products

  • Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment

  • Complete production documentation and maintain a clean, organized work area

  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications

  • Previous MIG and/or TIG welding experience required

  • Ability to pass welding tests

  • Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings and weld symbols

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
Preferred Experience

  • ASME pipe welding

  • Structural steel or pressure vessel fabrication

  • GTAW 6G welding

  • Current welding certifications

  • Forklift experience
Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 pounds regularly

  • Stand, bend, kneel and work in a fabrication shop throughout the shift

  • Work in an environment with heat, noise, dust and welding fumes while wearing required PPE
