Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced MIG & Stick Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components while maintaining company quality, safety, and production standards.
The ideal candidate has experience with both MIG and Stick welding, can interpret blueprints, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding experience required
Ability to accurately read a tape measure
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to workplace safety and production standards
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding on a variety of fabricated metal components
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production work instructions
Inspect completed welds to verify quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy
Safely operate welding equipment, grinders, and related fabrication tools
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures, welding standards, and production requirements
Meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Perform additional welding and fabrication duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience
Experience working with structural steel or industrial components
Familiarity with fabrication equipment and welding inspection procedures
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to safely work around welding equipment, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment
