MIG Welder 1st Shift

Phillips Staffing is looking for skilled MIG Welders for an innovative manufacturer of industrial/agricultural products in Anderson, SC! Responsibilities:

• Weld and tack weld metal parts using MIG (GMAW) equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as an angle grinder
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. for clamping raw material together 
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Maintain a clean/safe work environment while complying with safety and quality standards
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs and assist team members with lifts
• Behave in a positive manner that enhances productivity and success of the company
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor

 Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months of production MIG welding experience or completion of an approved welding certification course
• Ability to pass a company administered weld test (AWS 1.1 and 1.3)
• Read and write English
• Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, reading rulers and calipers
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures
• Follow dress code including PPE guidelines as specified for the position
• Must have a HSD or GED

 Shift Schedule: 1st Shift- Monday-Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm with possible OT on MondayPay: $22.00 DOE  #IND2
